Road Trip

We went to Kentucky for the Fourth of July. It was a lot of relaxing, hiking, bourbon sipping fun.

Don't worry, we didn't pull a Britney...the car is parked

Cruisin in the Chargaaaaaah

We stayed in a cool historic house in Lexington. We highly reccomend it if you are in the area...walking distance to restaurants, downtown and a short distance from lots of things to do. www.martinhouselexinton.com

One of the few photos of me since I was holding the camera the whole time. This is the first of many photos with Alex in his baby carrier. He isn't as light as he used to be, but he sure loves the thing.

A visit to the Buffalo Trace Distillery where Blanton's is produced. Alex wasn't as enthused as the rest of us and chose to take a little nappy nap. He did perk up for the tasting. We received a history lesson on the origins of Bourbon. Star distillery student "Jean Borbón" sneaks a little taste during our tour.

Grillin' and Chillin' on the Fourth of July

Nothing says Fourth of July like a little putt putt. I was the winner, if you don't believe me check out the photo...I had the best score in my age division and got my name on the wall of fame.

If you are ever in Louisville, you should check out Lynn's Paradise Cafe for breakfast. They were on Throwdown with Bobby Flay for my fellow Food TV junkies.

A hike to the Natural Bridge.

Is it time for another trip yet?
